Hidden streets of Hradcany town

We will follow the footsteps of the royal town Hradčany and discover how the community of the poor, the monastery and the high nobility lived and worked in this town.

We will start at the beginning of the royal town Hradčany at Pohorelc and walk all the way to the Prague Castle.

On the way we can admire Loreto Square with the largest baroque palace – the Czerninsky Palace, the Loreto pilgrimage site, the capuchin church and monastery and then our steps will take us to the forgotten world of small streets and houses where the poor used to live – the New World. We will discover the still functioning church of St. John of Nepomuk, which today serves the garrison of Prague Castle. We will walk through the Deer Moat to Prague Castle, which we will visit and have a glimpse of St. Vitus Cathedral.
We will also discover where the Archbishop’s Palace is located and why there are so many different palaces around Prague Castle – Martinic, Sternbern, Schwarzenberg and Salmon palaces.

You can extend your tour by visiting the interiors of Prague Castle – more information here.

There is a possibility to request a car on the way there and back.
